| Tom Foley and Carla Markwart started Foley Photo Studio in 2001. Tom has been making photographs all his life, carrying on a tradition begun by his father Bill Foley, the owner of Midwest Photo Service in Galesburg. Tom has now been a professional portrait and wedding photographer for over 20 years, as well as a fine art photographer. His wife, Carla Markwart Foley, is an artist and teaches painting and drawing at Monmouth College in Monmouth, IL. and paints in her studio in Galesburg. Carla is the designer and stylist at Foley Studio and Tom supplies the technical expertise. Together, they create unique pictures of families and events. Gordy is the Foleys' five-year-old son. He has become a rather earnest railfan. He is their favorite portrait subject, when he is not playing with his trains. |
